Pet Loss Counseling
In person, via Zoom or by phone

Individual or Family Counseling

I offer individual and family counseling in person, via Zoom or by phone. I will listen and help guide you through the grieving process with understanding and compassion. I begin each supportive pet loss and grief session by lighting a candle for your beloved pet. I encourage you to share pictures with me. You don’t have to go through the loss of a beloved pet alone. I am there for you.

Euthanasia Counseling

I offer euthanasia counseling as an adjunct to your vet’s recommendation, and am available in person, via phone or via Zoom. Often these are last minute decisions that cause so much anguish if not thought out carefully. I can help you in your time of need with this heart wrenching decision by assisting you to realize what is best for your beloved pet, and you and your family. I can also offer suggestions for that beautiful last moment with your beloved pet that may help you and your pet go through this last moment of love together.

Groups and Lectures

The death of a pet can cause sadness, anger and guilt. A Pet Loss Support Group is a comforting place to share experiences and feelings in a supportive and compassionate environment. Patricia offers groups at various locations in New York City and the Hudson Valley. All are welcome. I offer lectures on pet loss and grief counseling to veterinarians and staff, as well as schools of veterinarian medicine. Please contact me to set up a lecture.

Pet Loss Counseling Fees

I offer sessions on a sliding scale. No one is turned away due to lack of finances. I believe in giving back therefore 10% of all earnings are donated to animal rescues.
